This is us. But let's start with the Riad itself!
This very old house does certainly have numereous wrinkles, but she preserves, as a happy and neat old lady, all her charm and beauty.
We truly fell in love with this old lady, and that is the reason why we did not demolish a simple thing. Every change or improvement has been made around her personality, her past as a 'bourgeois' home of the rich entrepreneurs of the old city. Elder people in our neighbourhoud know the house very well, and tell us how they appreciate how we conserved the character of the house, while enriching it with modern comforts. For this corner of the medina is not only the most lively one,
and near to Jamaa El Fna square, but also one of the oldest.
As almost being part of human patrimony, renovating a Riad comes with responsibility, and we took great care in not touching the soul and using traditional materials only (tadelakt, zouak, bejimats, gabs and zelliges).
In the heart of the Souks, the riad is what it has always been and for what it was meant; a tranquil island, providing privacy and calm.
It's the house for romantics, that look for magic nights in a real love nest.
It's the house where families come to discover that they feel at home, thanks to the friendliness and subtle service of our staff that start off every day with the well being of the guests as goal.
It's also the house where incidental visitors, having arrived for just one night, decide to stay longer, captivated by the charm of this island.
And finally, it's the house that we love, in which we have put our heart, in this city and country that is visited so much, but can still be so unknown.
There is a «real Morocco », far off the beaten track. There is an authentic Marrakech of 1000 years old, and we are all here to make you love it.
Now it is up to you to discover...
